Steroid Injections
Injections can be administered on site with the co-operation of your GP. Common areas for injection are the shoulder, frozen shoulder or rotator cuff tendonitis, tennis elbow, bursitis, osteoarthritis, plantar fascitis, tenosynovitis.
We have an arrangement with a large group of local GP’s to do injections on their patients as requested so there is little waiting especially if you are in severe pain.
Hyalgan Injections
Hyaluronic acid is present
in synovial fluid in your joints
but is continuously broken
down and replaced. As you
get older this process is
disturbed -and along with other processes leads to the joint cartilage wearing and subsequent osteoarthritis. This manifests itself as pain, stiffness and swelling particularly in weight bearing joints of the knees and hips.
Hyalgan is a solution containing hyaluronic acid, which is injected into the joint to restore the normal balance of the synovial fluid and decrease pain and stiffness in the joint.
